The Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association of Kansas (PMCA of Kansas) is a nonprofit trade association serving the needs of independent petroleum distributors, gasoline retailers and convenience store owners throughout the state of Kansas. For nearly nine decades, PMCA has viewed as one of its major goals the maintenance of a positive and competitive business climate that will encourage growth of the independent segment of the petroleum marketing industry.

Today, PMCA of Kansas seeks to enhance its members’ place in the free enterprise system by providing a full range of programs, educational opportunities, publications, supplies and services to help them in the day-to-day operation of their businesses. PMCA also represents members’ interests on industry issues when the state legislature convenes, and throughout the year, PMCA maintains lines of communication with officials of the many state and federal agencies that regulate the petroleum marketing industry.

Guided by a 24-member board of directors elected from the membership at large, PMCA is headquartered in Topeka, KS, where a full-time staff implements board policy. A wholly-owned subsidiary of PMCA – Tank Management Services, Inc. – provides valuable services for tank owners and operators in Kansas.

PMCA also serves the many companies providing services and products to its marketer and c-store members through an active associate membership category consisting of over 100 companies. The PMCA Associate Member Advisory Committee provides input on ways the association can strengthen and maintain its ties with associate members while at the same time benefiting the industry overall.

Changing with the times, PMCA continues to develop new programs for members while meeting the many challenges of petroleum marketing, all in an effort to ensure the viability of the independent petroleum industry in Kansas.
